This book centres around the Scottish Crannog Centre on Loch Tay, Kenmore, and seeks to educate the young or inquisitive on the work that archaeologists do to discover what life was like in Iron Age Scotland. The book has been laser-cut and the puzzle-pages consist of naturally dyed fabric as dyes were used by families in crannogs. The puzzle on top of the book characterises the crannog as a protective, hairy-headed, island; waiting for the archaeologists to discover it’s secrets.
